Book of the Dead
For All Souls Day, our 1st graders make a Book of the Dead. This book has pictures and names of those who have died to be prayed for during the month of November. It is processed in by the 1st grade during the Mass on All Souls Day, and is displayed in the church all month. Names can be added anytime and at each Mass Father prays for all who are in the book.

Principal's Retreat
Last week on October 6-7, I attended a Principal's Retreat for all the Archdiocese of Denver Catholic School principals. It is always a fun and relaxing time up at St. Malo in Allenspark near Estes Park. Our speaker was Sister Cele from Kansas City and she spoke on how we are Peacemakers. It was very enlightening.

From the Principal
After one month of the 2010-2011 school year under our belts, we are 181 students strong in the K-8 school. Computer club and spelling bee practices have begun. Our Kindergarteners decorated a city snow plow with hand prints -"Helping Hands Make a Difference". Music is in full swing with choir, band, and tone chime practice. Our theme this year is Make a Difference.
